The summer is winding down. One more week left and we will begin practice JULY 31st M-F 6:45-9am until school starts. NO EXCEPTIONS except for the VERY few have excused it prior to summer starting.

Next week, if you are in town, you need to be at conditioning. The numbers have be very low, a little disappointed that more of you didn't take advantage of that to build and strengthen individually and as a team. I realize some of you did report it doing it on your own, but it was an opportunity to be together. I know it's summer, but it's the "off-season" time the pays off during the season. 

With that, remember conditioning it T/TH and Tumbling on Wednesday at 8am.

Remember to attend the activities that are planned for the team. Please don't look at these as optional:( if you are in town, you should go, bond with the team. A LOT of planning, work and effort, go into these activities. I hope you know how much your we, as your Coaches, Captains and Seniors want this year to succeed. We are working on making this year a success. We need ALL of YOU, cheerleaders and parents, to realize your ARE PART OF A TEAM, this is NOT a part time commitment but a 100% commitment. Please respect what is asked of you by your coaches and captains.

Reminder we will have a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING AUGUST 21st @ 7pm in the little theater.

SO excited to get back and WORK! WORK HARD this next week!!!! We will have your white uniforms for you on the first day back to practice.

Conditioning starts up again next week, now that the holidays have passed.

Wednesdays Tumbling! I have loved getting the videos of your progressions. We are getting more tucks and running series. REMEMBER your goals ladies!

Following tumbling...Waffles will be at Ellery's on the 12th and Brynne's on the 19th Thanks MOMS!

 Work hard for you and your team! WE want to show off at the games and help bring spirit back to the stadium and assemblies with your skills! Who doesn't love to see amazing tumbling and strong stunts!! The film crew was in awe of the tumbling they saw, its crazy cool to watch....SO GET AFTER it the next month and lets be ready for 2017-2018 SEASON!

We will start back with Mandatory practices on July 31st. 6:45-9am  M-F
The three weeks in August are SO important to be ready for Football, school and to begin our comp routine.

If you don't pay it,  it wont be ordered. We have to get it in by July 1st so it will be here before school starts. This is your warm ups, spankies, bows, jacket and optional back pack.

6 weeks till go time!

What fantastic couple of weeks we had! Camp felt like a success and now we are all off in our different directions for the next 6 weeks.

A couple of things of importance:

1. TUMBLING every Wednesday 8-9 followed by Waffles!

2. Conditioning at OHS from 7-8:15 M-T-TH Mrs Frame will take roll and let me know who is attending. A special reward for those who complete the 6 weeks of conditioning.

3. PAY YOUR FINAL UNIFORM ORDER on the Varsity Payment Portal.

We will be having a couple of activities through July. We will try to give advance notice as best we can.

Please ladies keep working on your skills and improving. We will send you the music and choreography in the next week to be practicing. We may have a couple days in the next month to just meet in the morning to go over things. New girls make sure you know the cheers. 

SUMMERFEST AND CAMP YAY!!!!!

SUMMERFEST SATURDAY

Coopers Run 7:50AM meeting at Scera Park by the Scera Shell outdoor theater. Do Not be late!!! It should finish around 9:30 or 10. WE may need some of you to help with the baby contest following the run. It is at the high school starting at 10. Please be willing to help when needed.

PARADE

Arrive at 6PM 800 East and 400 South. We are not far from that corner. WE are #19 in the parade

BRING 5lbs of candy to throw in the parade.

BLUE UNIFORMS

HAIR UP IN HIGH PONY TAIL-returners bring blue and white bows to share.

Shoes and POMS should be here Friday. I will text out when I have them. The girls can come by to get them.

Thanks for those who have signed up to host some of the meals this week along with treats. Please look over the schedule. We had to make a few changes in the planning process. If it the change doesn't work for you, let me know. Please coordinate if you are teamed up with other moms for a meal.

CAMP WEEK June 12-15

Pay Finance office $120.00 for Camp

Girls need to bring $30.00cash on Monday when we meet.

This covers the cost of our 2 Choreographers and the couple coming to teach Pyramids

This is VERY minimal for what they are doing for our team. They are all alumni and professional at what they do. They have great backgrounds in what they do from the 2017 National Champion WEber Cheer Team,  Jazz Stunt team, a currant Jazz Dancer and all have a love for performing and CHEER!

Captains will text the girls with any specific things they need bring and know for camp week

For those that signed up for treats...Send them with your girls the day of.

After Camp week.... No more practices until August:(

BUT Conditioning will be at the school weight room Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8:15 am ALL THROUGH the rest of June and July! STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. They will work on Shoulders, Arms, Core, Legs. I do not want them doing nothing all the rest of summer and then come back in August. They will struggle because their strength will be gone.

They will also have tumbling on Wednesdays, with waffles following. YUMMMMMM Thank you to Mama Hair for waffles today!

BUTTTTT

WE will have conditioning the girls will need to be doing when they are in town at the high school. They will know what that is next week. AS well as their tumbling class all summer! Do not miss if you are in town. How hard you work on your off weeks will reflect how hard it is for us to get back into things in August. 

Your camp fee will be do to the finance office by June 9th.

$120.00

We will also be placing your next uniform order middle of June and payments will need to be made no later than the 29th. I can not push it back or we will not have what the girls need for Football and school. Please communicate prior to that if there is a problem. I will let you know when that order is up and ready for payments. That order is their Varsity jacket, sweatshirt and joggers.

We have had a very generous donation to our program. We would love to purchase new  cheer mats for the team. Our are old and out of date. We only have 7 mats and a full cheer floor is 9. Is it a necessity , no,  we can manage and do just fine with what we have. But with this donation, it is very doable and would be a great thing for the girls. The cost of a new floor costs $7000.00. With the donation we are almost half way there.

So if you know of any business's or people who would like to donate to the program, get in touch with me. It needs to go through appropriate channels and can be kept anonymous if needed.

I can not believe May is here! Hopefully the weather will warm up, so it will feel like May.
